It can take some time for all the results to be finalised as some leagues add the average points score at the end of the season to those teams that fulfilled a fixture as well as penalising the offenders.
Despite a storming finish the B team in the City Afternoon League ended up fourth on shot difference behind Leadenham. In their game against Harby John France, Michael Frere and Tony Annis all led their rinks to a score of 20 or more to win 65 to 39 and collect all the points but not enough shots to secure third place in the division. However it did put them on a par with the A team which also finished fourth in their higher division.
The Bowls Lincolnshire team finished third, seven points behind Boultham Park. Although they won both or one of their games against every other teams, Hykeham’s fours missed out on enough rink points to catch up.
