Season of Mist and AGMs
Mellow fruitfulness was what the poet had in mind but for anyone who belongs to any club it is usually the AGM that comes in autumnal months. 'Get it in before the Xmas parties start' is the instruction to the people who do the work, the treasurer and secretary. So slipping off to sunny climes to avoid the usual seasonal English rain and fog is definitely discouraged.
For bowlers there is certainly a flourishing of AGM's. The county associations and leagues hold their meetings and Bowls England had an EGM. County, county divisions, leagues and clubs all require presidents, chairmen, officers and committees so there are plenty of places to fill and a lot of reporting and planning to cover.
True to form and as required by the constitution Hykeham held its own well attended AGM. It can be divided into four parts.
