Business and Reporting
The essential business includes electing the new committee. There are some new faces this time and there is a rough balance between the male and female members. Which is as it should be given that seven out of eight league teams are mixed as are most events and competitions.
Reporting covers the treasurer's presentation of the accounts. Suffice to say that the club is solvent and managed to raise and spend a large amount on improving the green in addition to the grant from Sport for All. Two members made generous donations which provided new scoreboards and blinds on the doors. Blinds on the clubhouse are an essential for county matches and competitions as movement behind the french doors and windows could be distracting to the players.
There are also the reports from the other officers on such matters as the state of the green, league and competition results and the events which took place. One event raised £201 for the mayor's charity and another made £280 for the air ambulance.
