The green was laid professionally of Cumberland turf, with the first matches being played in 1962. A large black shed served as a pavilion until 1973/4, when the present Marley Building was erected.
Double glazed picture windows were installed for the clubs 40th. anniversary. It was extended with the provision of a new kitchen, changing rooms and a toilet for the disabled in 2004/5.
The ditches around the green were replaced in winter 2008/9 with concrete. This project was funded by grants from Awards for All and Bowls England.
